Curbside, single-stream recycling is included for all single-family and many multi-family customers as part of monthly trash collection fees. There is no additional cost for curbside recycling.

Your recyclables will be picked up every other week. Insert your address into the Collection Calendar app above to determine pick-up day/week for your recycling. Please have your blue-lidded recyclables cart at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

Single-Stream Recycling – How-Tos

• Single-Stream Recycling allows you to place all your recyclable items, co-mingled together, into one container.
• Look over the Recycling Guide to see what you can recycle through the curbside program or ask our Waste Wizard about specific items.
• Each Waste Services residential customer is provided with a specific container for recycling. These containers are gray with a blue lid.
• Please, do not put your recyclables in any plastic bags when you put them in the container.
• You do not need to sort out different kinds of recyclables into different containers.

Note – Special changes relating to recycling – Types of plastics accepted for recycling

Boulder County and EcoCycle have changed the types of plastics that are accepted for recycling. This applies to both our curbside collection and the recycling drop-off center. The allowable plastics that we can accept for recycling are #1, #2 and #5.

Tips

• No need to remove: paper clips, stamps, address labels, staples, tape, wire, metal fasteners, rubber bands, spiral bindings, or plastic tabs
• Please flatten and fold all large and bulky cardboard boxes so they fit inside your container.
• If you have more recyclables than your curbside collection bin can hold or bulky items that cannot fit, the Longmont Recycling Center accepts single-stream recyclables free of charge.
