Income and Asset Limits
2026 Maximum Income Limits for City of Longmont Housing Programs
Housing assistance programs have income and asset limits that households must meet in order to be considered eligible for that program. These limits are determined each year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City of Longmont uses Boulder County Area Median Income (AMI) numbers for all programs.
If you have any questions about how income and asset limits apply to your situation, please contact the City’s Housing and Community Investment Division.
Locally-Funded Programs
The City of Longmont uses annual income limits from the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) for locally-funded programs, including Local Down Payment Assistance, Affordable Housing Fund, and Inclusionary Housing. Specifically, the City uses CHFA’s “Multifamily Loan and Low Income Housing Tax Credits Rent and Income Limits by Year” table. CHFA’s data is derived from HUD data and calculates income limits for each Colorado county up to 120% Area Median Income (AMI). Income limits can be found on CHFA’s website.
2026 CHFA income limits are effective as of June 15, 2026.
