Adult Volunteer Opportunities
The Friends of the Longmont Library is a non-profit organization created to actively raise money for the Longmont Library. Friends fund children’s reading programs, the Library of Things, Discovery Passes, book and study groups, adult education classes, foreign language learning software, the Seed Library, and more! Besides supporting the library, member benefits include first access to book sales, members’ only receptions at book sales, an annual member event, and a monthly newsletter. So, go ahead and be a Friend…Thanks!

Teen Volunteer Opportunities
Looking for volunteering opportunities? Have NHS, IB or school credits that you need to complete? We have some great options for teens who want to give something back to their communities, and we really appreciate our teen volunteers.
Join us for a monthly meeting of teens interested in having their voices heard at the Library! Help decide what teen programs the Library should offer, suggest books and movies to add to the Library, and work on creating a teen space that can better serve YOU. Great opportunity for volunteer service hours.
Meeting Time and Place
We’ll meet in-person from 4-5 pm on the second Tuesday of each month during the school year (September through May) at the Longmont Public Library, 409 4th Ave.
Registration is not required to attend; just show up a few minutes before the meeting time.
Help shelve books at the library to earn resume experience and school service hours! Volunteers will be taught everything they need to know in a one-time orientation.
