Join us for our storytimes led by our amazing Children’s Librarians. Expect songs, movement, books and more! At storytime, caretakers and children will have fun, build community, develop early literacy and language skills, prepare for school readiness and life-long learning, and explore play and social emotional activities.

 

Weekly Drop-in Storytimes

The Library’s weekly storytimes take place everyday from Monday through Saturday. We meet in the Library’s Meeting Rooms, located by the West/Kimbark Street Entrance. No registration required!

 

Bilingual Storytime/Cuentos Bilingües

  • Mondays, 10-10:30 am
  • Stories and songs in English and Spanish for children of all ages.
  • Cada lunes, de 10-10:30 am
  • Cuentos y canciones en inglés y español para niños de todas edades.

Toddler Storytime

  • Tuesdays, 10-10:20 am
  • A lively storytime designed for ages 2 to 3 years old and their grownup. Enjoy 20 minutes of books, songs, movement, and fun for children to build fine motor and literacy skills!

Baby Storytime

  • Wednesdays, 10-10:20 am
  • An interactive storytime designed for infants to age 2 and their grownup. Enjoy 20 minutes of short stories, lots of songs, rhymes, bouncing, and fun for child and grownup to build language and pre-literacy skills!

Yoga Storytime

Craft Storytime

  • Every other Thursday, 10-11 am, check our events list for which Thursdays
  • We’ll listen to stories, sing songs, and make a special craft! Storytime is open for all ages, but the crafting portion is best for preschoolers.

Family Storytime

  • Fridays, 10-10:30 am
  • A 30-minute Friday fun storytime designed for children of all ages and their grown ups. Lots of fun picture books will be shared along with movement and age-appropriate stories and games to help your children become ready to read.

Weekend Family Storytime

  • Saturdays, 11-11:30 am
  • A 30-minute Saturday storytime designed for children of all ages and their grown-ups! Join us as we share picture books, move, dance and sing together.
