Computers, Printing and Wi-Fi at the Library
Connectivity is super important in today’s world, and your Library is dedicated to making sure that you have all the access you need to the technology and information that shapes our daily lives.
Computer Lab
The computer lab is located on the second floor of the Library on the south end.
The Longmont Public Library offers computers with free Internet access and access to Microsoft products.You can use a computer for 60 minutes by entering your library card barcode and PIN into the computer or by reserving a computer online. Your time may be automatically extended up to 4 hours a day if the computer lab is not full and the computer is not booked by others.
Additional time is not guaranteed. Internet usage is not tracked; we value your privacy. All usage and data is erased when the session expires, so save often and print early.
- You must have a library card to access computers and printing services. Ask computer lab staff about a Computer Use Card if you do not already have one.
- General computer assistance is available in the Computer Lab by Library Staff.
- You may make up to three reservations per week, at most 7 days in advance.

Printing in the Computer Lab
Patrons can send documents to the printers within the computer lab. Once released, documents can be picked up at the Print Release Station inside the lab. Some fees may be associated with printing at the Library.
Computers in the Children and Teen Services Area
Please visit the Children and Teens Services on the first floor to access these computers.

Wi-Fi Hotspots to Go
Wi-Fi Hotspots are small electronic devices (about the size of a smartphone) that allow you to connect to the internet from your home.
You do not need to have an internet service contract to use a Wi-Fi Hotspot. The Library Wi-Fi Hotspot will provide internet service as long as a cell phone tower is nearby. All you need is a WiFi-ready device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Wi-Fi kits contain a Wi-Fi Hotspot, a charging cord, an instruction card, and a traveling case.
- Hotspots check out for 1 week and may renew for an additional week if there isn’t a waitlist.
- After 50 days, the late item will be considered lost or stolen. Replacement cost for Wi-Fi Hotspots is $75. Refunds are not permitted.
- Hotspots can be placed on hold and picked up at the desk in the Lobby.
- Available from all mobile devices, through our library mobile print app.
- Print from anywhere to the Library printer network.
- No reservation necessary.

Printing fees:
- 10 pages black and white per week per user is FREE
- 10 cents per page for black and white printing
- 25 cents per page for color printing
