Zone Map Update
A zoning map update was adopted by City Council with the 2018 Land Development Code update. The line up of zoning districts generally corresponds to the Envision Longmont land use categories. Because land use categories changed with Envision Longmont, there are substantial changes to the lineup of zoning districts within the LDC. This lineup of districts will accommodate the demand for more mixed-use development and provide a tool to assist in implementing the Envision Longmont Growth Framework.
The changes for specific areas can generally be categorized as consolidation of districts, renaming of districts, mapping of new districts or removing obsolete districts.
A PDF map showing the reason for the zoning change is also available for review to assist the public in further understanding the zoning map conversion process.
