Join us at the Longmont Library for an insightful author talk with Karl Ford, who will discuss his latest book, “The Colorado Trail In Crisis,” from 6-7:30 pm on Thursday, Nov. 7. Ford will explore the profound effects of climate change on the ecosystems along iconic Colorado trails, highlighting the challenges faced by wildlife, plants and the trails themselves.
Karl Ford is a retired environmental scientist with the Department of the Interior, where he directed west-wide ecoregional assessments for the Bureau of Land Management. He was a consultant to the Wilderness Society and advisor to Wild Connections for a climate change project to identify climate refugia and corridors for the central Colorado mountains.
