Quail Campus
Visit the Longmont Museum and Recreation Center, known as Quail Campus, to discover the stories behind the artworks situated on the south side of town. Quail Campus houses seven permanent artworks in the public art collection, commissioned specifically for this location. On this tour you’ll venture inside buildings and explore the outdoor features that connect these cultural and recreational hubs.

Downtown Longmont public art tour
Downtown Longmont has a very special concentration of the public art collection, including the first commissioned artwork! Near and around south Main Street, many Art in Public Places artworks are located in this lively area of Longmont. This tour takes visitors through inspired archways, walking over historic maps, and even face-to-face with a nine-foot migratory bird!

Art on the Move
Since 2005, Longmont Art in Public Places showcases pieces of art on loan by regional artists in locations around the city. This program, called Art on the Move, invites residents and visitors to enjoy new artworks annually. A wide range of subjects and materials are presented through this special display of local talent. The artworks each tell a unique story and enjoy commentary from the artist, too!

History Under Wraps: a Tour of Archival Photographs
In a blast to the past, take a step back in time with the History Under Wraps tour! This tour celebrates Longmont through historical photos from the Longmont Museum photograph archive. Traffic cabinets around the city are adorned with vinyl wraps featuring a unique vintage snapshot, some even dating back to the 1860’s. New image selections are added to the collection each Fall and Spring so check back often for new additions seasonally. *Please note, this tour is best experienced by bike, vehicle or virtually.
