Vance Brand: Ambassador of Exploration

The Apollo space program marked a high point in the manned exploration of space. Join us as we honor its legacy and the achievements of Longmont local Vance Brand, astronaut with the Apollo program. NASA awarded him its Ambassador of Exploration Award, which includes a sample of material from the Moon’s surface. The Museum features the award in an exhibit about the space race and Vance Brand.
