The City of Longmont will host a public presentation on the legal limitations of regulating noise at Vance Brand Municipal Airport on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Longmont Museum located at 400 Quail Road. The presentation will be made by John Putnam from the law firm of Kaplan Kirsch, a national law firm with a practice focused on solving problems that involve environmental, land use, public lands, energy, and transportation law. Putnam is part of the City’s special counsel firm contracted to provide legal advice and analysis on airport issues. After the presentation, in person and virtual attendees will be invited to submit questions. Attendees who need language or ASL interpretation services or other accommodations, please submit a Request for Accommodation form (longmontcolorado.gov/accessibility) by July 22. The Vance Brand Municipal Airport is owned and operated by the City of Longmont, Colorado. Located at 229 Airport Road, just west of the city, the airport is accessible from Colorado Highway 119 and Airport Road. Airport services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
