Prairie Dogs Available for Relocation
Under Major Prairie Dog permits, prairie dogs on properties that meet the standards can be relocated if a relocation site is found by either the land owner or any person with interest in preserving prairie dogs. The City of Longmont will issue major or minor prairie dog permits after the requirements for such permit have been met in accordance with Ordinance O-2019-51. Properties under development review are not subject to a 90 day waiting period.
